Figure 3: A 33-year-old patient presented with bleeding per rectum. Rectal growth biopsy is suggestive of malignant melanoma. Immunohistochemistry revealed tumor positive for HMB 45 and S100 protein. FDG PET/CT scan was done for initial staging. MIP images (a) show increased tracer uptake at multiple sites in the pelvis, liver, and multiple vertebrae. Fused transaxial PET/CT images show large anorectal mass (b), metastatic left internal iliac node (c), bilateral inguinal nodes (d), metastatic liver lesions (e), skeletal lesions (f), and lung nodules(g).
